Steele Creek Church of Charlotte is an ethnically diverse congregation. We are one body of many members and many cultures. We aim to celebrate Christ together while providing opportunities for support, encouragement, and ministry within specific ethnic communities. Our pastoral staff reflects a passion for engaging the diversity of the Church.
Latino Connection Ministry
The Latino community at Steele Creek is sizeable. To help remove the barrier of language, we provide live Spanish translation during our 11:15 am Sunday service. We also hold a Latino service, conducted in Spanish, each Sunday at 11:15 am. Latino Connection Pastor Gilberto Colón oversees ministries relating to the particular spiritual, family, and educational needs of the Latino community, including ESL classes. Haitian Connection Ministry
Pastor Jean Telfort focuses on the developing Haitian community at Steele Creek Church of Charlotte and within the greater Charlotte area. He leads a Charlotte-wide Haitian community gathering at 6pm every other Sunday. Our time together is used in a variety of ways – worship, fellowship, outings, and events. Arabic Connection Ministry
The greater Charlotte area is home for over 17,000 Arabic speakers. To serve this community, SCCC Bridges Ministry Pastors Lahoud Lahoud and Marwan El Najjar lead an Arabic service each Sunday at 9:15 am. This service is also translated live for English speakers. Pastors Lahoud and El Najjar have also opened their homes for Arabic Bible study and fellowship. Steele Creek is honored to serve the Arabic community in Charlotte. African Connection Ministry
Pastor Emmanuel Karnley leads our Bridges Ministry to the native African community of Charlotte. The African ministry meets on Sundays at 11:15 am. Services are conducted in English. Contact Pastor Emmanuel for information or questions at 704.927.9275.
Messianic "One New Man (Creation)" Connection Ministry
Warren Marcus leads the Messianic Bridges Ministry at SCCC. He was raised in a Jewish home, and came to know Jesus as Messiah in 1974. His desire is to encourage the faith of Jewish believers in Jesus and to introduce gentile Christians to the Hebraic roots of Christianity. Like all of the Bridge Ministry pastors, Warren is eager to see Christian believers united in worship and faith. Messianic Bridges Ministry meets EVERY Saturday at 6:00pm in the small tent at SCCC.
