It’s what happens AFTER weekend services! Home Fellowships are for those who participate in corporate worship at Steele Creek Church of Charlotte, and who are also looking for a smaller, more intimate community of believers to join with them on their journey with Christ.

Throughout the greater Charlotte region, small groups of people meet in each other’s homes, in order to build deeper relationships, to minister to each other, and to join efforts in taking the love of Christ to our communities.

Genuine biblical community! On the first Sunday of the month (or other designated day determined by each individual HF), HFs share fellowship, a meal, and take communion together.

In addition, for those who desire to grow deeper in their relationship with the Lord, men’s and women’s discipleship meetings occur throughout the month, in order to help strengthen members of the Body in their walk with Christ and each other.

You can find a fit at Steele Creek Church of Charlotte!

Just like every individual is unique, HFs differ from one another. For example, some groups are formed according to geographic location. They may also form according to life stage, such as Singles or Young Families. In still other cases, existing relationships with others may determine which HF you decide to attend.

There are several ways to connect!

A listing of all current HFs can be found on our HF Map page. We also have a directory available in the lobby. You may either call a HF leader directly, or you can fill out the “Guest Information and Updates” section in the bulletin and check HF, to have a group recommended for you.

A disciple is a person who has surrendered to Jesus and is intentionally exploring and practicing the principles of devotion to Him. He or she is a learner – having ears to hear what the Spirit says (2 Peter 1:5-10).

When we talk about discipleship, we are referring to the lifelong process of becoming like Jesus.

At SCCC, we desire to see people:

  • Grow in relationships and maturity
  • Set their lives “in order” according to Biblical principles

Through Home Fellowships, discipling meetings are available for those who desire to grow in their knowledge and practice of applying the Scriptures to their everyday living.

Our desire is to imitate the model of discipleship set forth in Scripture:

We proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect [mature] in Christ. To this end I labor, struggling with all His energy, which so powerfully works in me. Colossians 1:28-29 NIV

Our Home Fellowships have discipleship meetings that occur throughout the month, at times determined individually by each group. These groups are led by the HF Leaders or other disciplers in the HF that are trained, seasoned men or women who commit to these discipling relationships for the purpose of developing spiritual maturity in others.

So, affectionately longing for you, we were well pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God, but also our own lives…1 Thessalonians 2:8
