Our Goal
The goal of the SCCC Worship Ministry is that God be glorified and honored when we meet as a church family, and, further,{mosimage} that God would be well pleased with our Team, as each member devotes themselves to worship every day — not just on the weekends. We believe that our Saturday and Sunday corporate worship expression is, ultimately, an overflow of each day of living a lifestyle of worship.
Our Commitment
The Worship Ministry has the responsibility of facilitating an atmosphere of worship that is conducive to prayer, reflection and expression. This team is made up of covenant members of Steele Creek Church who are taking continued steps of maturity by actively progressing through the Discipleship Series, connecting with a Home Fellowship Group and regular attendance. These are the fundamental first steps toward involvement in the Worship and Music Ministry.
Worship Ministry Opportunities
There are many opportunities within the Worship Ministry to put into service individual artistic, creative and musical gifts. These include:
- Covenant Choir and Small Vocal Teams - This opportunity is open to anyone, 18 years of age and older. Rehearsal is on Saturday afternoon or Wednesday evening (depending on team assignment) and participants share their gifts during the music presentation at all weekend services.
- Worship Band - Because of limited positions, band members are selected through an interview/audition process.
- Audio Engineering - This team is responsible for mixing and recording the Celebration services on Saturday and Sunday. The team{mosimage} is open to volunteers at any skill level. Some experience with audio production is preferable.
- Video Editing/Graphic Design - This team produces video clips that are shown throughout the year for the Saturday and Sunday Celebrations. Potential volunteers are interviewed and should have at least moderate experience editing video or designing graphics.
- Studio Engineering - This team records, edits and mixes the studio and live worship recordings at Steele Creek Church. This team is open to volunteers who are proficient on either Windows or Mac and have a background in either studio engineering or live sound.
- Visual Media - This team is responsible for all the visual elements projected on the large screens in the Sanctuary during the Saturday and Sunday Celebrations, as well as regulating the appropriate lighting in the Sanctuary and on stage. This includes camera operation, video switching, PowerPoint and Media Shout operation, and digitally video recording the service. This team is open to volunteers at any skill level.
