Project 1040

What is project 1040?

Project 1040 is Steele Creek Church’s global commitment to the 10/40 Window. The 10/40 Window is a term used by many churches and missionaries to describe a part of the world where most people haven’t heard about Jesus. It’s called the “10/40 Window” because it’s between 10 and 40 degrees north of the equator, covering parts of North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. Our heart is to send and support missionaries who are sharing the Gospel in places where Jesus is least known.

Each month, we focus our prayers on a different country within the 10/40 Window, lifting up the people, leaders, and those called to serve there.

Join us in prayer and be part of what God is doing around the world through Project 1040.

"And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come."
Matthew 24:14

Country of the Month

This month, Project 10/40 turns our hearts toward Lebanon, a nation marked by both refuge and spiritual awakening. In the wake of Syria’s civil war, Lebanon has become a place of displacement, pain, and profound searching. Though the country carries a long Christian history and allows freedom of worship, deep divisions, persecution, and spiritual opposition remain—especially for those coming to faith from Islam. Yet in the midst of hardship, God is opening doors. Many Muslims, disillusioned by violence and loss, are becoming newly open to Christ, reading Scripture, and bravely stepping into Christian community.

Lebanon now hosts millions of refugees and stands at a critical crossroads in the Middle East. Churches are serving on the frontlines—offering food, shelter, Scripture, and hope—while new believers risk everything to follow Jesus. This is a decisive moment. Prayer is not a supporting role; it is the frontline work for protection, unity, and gospel breakthrough in Lebanon.

Scroll below to see how you can pray specifically!

Pray for protection, favor, and boldness for believers as they live out their faith and courageously share the Gospel in the face of persecution.

Pray for dreams and divine encounters among Muslims, that God would stir curiosity and lead many to read the Bible and seek truth for themselves.

Pray for unity within the Church, that believers across denominations would stand together as one body in Christ.

Pray that the Church would be known as a people of love, reflecting Jesus through compassion, service, and humility to all they serve.

Pray for more laborers to enter the harvest field, strengthening and expanding the work God is doing throughout Lebanon.
