Most of us would say we’re busy, but parents today seem busier than ever school drop-offs, extracurriculars, birthday parties, and calendars planned months in advance. Yet this verse reminds us of something vital: to slow down, pause, and spend time with the Lord.

In Luke 10, Martha was focused on preparing the house when Jesus arrived, while Mary sat at His feet. Hosting needed to be done, but Jesus gently reminded Martha not to worry and instead to take Mary’s posture sitting, listening, and being present with Him.

As parents, it’s easy to stay focused on packed lunches, clean clothes, tight schedules, and full to-do lists. Even work can pull us toward more hours and more hustle. The noise of busyness is always loud, yet Jesus continues to invite us to pause and be with Him.

When we as families slow down, put phones away, share meals, spend intentional time together, and read Scripture, we create space for what matters most. In the midst of a busy culture, what might the Lord be asking your family to set aside this week so you can spend meaningful time together?

Kids are invited to wear their favorite pajamas on this special Sunday for a fun and comfy morning. Whether it’s fuzzy PJs, a mix-and-match set, bunny slippers, or a cozy robe, we can’t wait to see everyone snuggled up for a great day at church!

SCYouth Update

March Theme: Wonder

For the month of March, we are excited to embark on a “Wonder” series, exploring the awe-inspiring nature of God and the amazing ways He reveals Himself to us. Throughout this series, we will reflect on the majesty of God’s creation, His faithfulness, and His character that leaves us in wonder and awe. We’ll dive into passages like Psalm 8:3–4, which reminds us of God’s glory reflected in the heavens and the value He places on us, and Habakkuk 1:12–13, which reveals His holiness and the depth of His justice. Join us as we celebrate the wonders of God and grow in our understanding of who He is!
