Project 1040

What is project 1040?

Project 1040 is Steele Creek Church’s global commitment to the 10/40 Window. The 10/40 Window is a term used by many churches and missionaries to describe a part of the world where most people haven’t heard about Jesus. It’s called the “10/40 Window” because it’s between 10 and 40 degrees north of the equator, covering parts of North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. Our heart is to send and support missionaries who are sharing the Gospel in places where Jesus is least known.

Each month, we focus our prayers on a different country within the 10/40 Window, lifting up the people, leaders, and those called to serve there.

Join us in prayer and be part of what God is doing around the world through Project 1040.

"And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come."

Country of the Month

India is home to more than 1.4 billion people, making it the world's most populous nation. Located within the 10/40 Window, it is one of the world's largest mission fields, with thousands of people groups who have little or no access to the Gospel.

While the church in India continues to grow, believers face increasing pressure and persecution in many regions. Despite these challenges, God is moving through local churches, faithful pastors, and ministries that are sharing the hope of Jesus in both cities and remote villages.

Pray that believers would remain steadfast in their faith despite growing persecution. Join in praying Paul's request from Second Epistle to the Thessalonians 3:1–2:

"Pray that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored... and that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people."

Pray for unity among churches and ministry leaders across India. Ask God to protect believers from division and help the Body of Christ remain focused on the Gospel.

Pray that those seeking truth within Hinduism would recognize their need for Jesus and become open to the hope found only in the Gospel.

Pray that the audio Bibles being distributed throughout India would reach countless people—from pastors serving towns and villages to remote tribal communities. Ask God to use His Word to draw many people to Christ.

Pray that pastors and ministry leaders would have wisdom and discernment as they share the Gospel. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide outreach efforts so they connect people to Jesus in meaningful and culturally relevant ways.
