What is project 1040?
Project 1040 is Steele Creek Church’s global commitment to the 10/40 Window. The 10/40 Window is a term used by many churches and missionaries to describe a part of the world where most people haven’t heard about Jesus. It’s called the “10/40 Window” because it’s between 10 and 40 degrees north of the equator, covering parts of North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. Our heart is to send and support missionaries who are sharing the Gospel in places where Jesus is least known.
Each month, we focus our prayers on a different country within the 10/40 Window, lifting up the people, leaders, and those called to serve there.

Country of the Month
This month, our Project 10-40 country of focus is Ethiopia, a nation rich in history, culture, and spiritual heritage. While Christianity is a major religion in Ethiopia, with nearly 60% of the population identifying as Christian, there are still many who have yet to hear the true Gospel, especially in rural and unreached areas. Over 30% of the population practices Islam, and various tribal beliefs are still prevalent.
Steele Creek Church is honored to partner with Springs of Living Water, a powerful ministry in Ethiopia rescuing girls and young women who are at risk or have been trafficked. These young women are welcomed into a safe home, introduced to the Gospel, discipled in their faith, and equipped with vocational training to help rebuild their lives.
As we focus on Ethiopia this month, let’s lift up this ministry and the incredible transformation taking place. Pray for protection, healing, and lasting hope for each girl and for continued favor and open doors for the Gospel to reach even more hearts.

Pray that each young woman would have a life-changing encounter with Jesus.
Ask for wisdom and discernment as leaders disciple and walk alongside each girl.
Pray for spiritual and physical protection over every young woman in the program.
That each girl would clearly see God’s purpose and vision for her life.
Pray for the dismantling of human trafficking across Ethiopia.
Ask the Lord to use Springs of Living Water as a model for other anti-trafficking efforts.
Pray for the Gospel to spread across Ethiopia, reaching hearts in every region.
