What is project 1040?
Project 1040 is Steele Creek Church’s global commitment to the 10/40 Window. The 10/40 Window is a term used by many churches and missionaries to describe a part of the world where most people haven’t heard about Jesus. It’s called the “10/40 Window” because it’s between 10 and 40 degrees north of the equator, covering parts of North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. Our heart is to send and support missionaries who are sharing the Gospel in places where Jesus is least known.
Each month, we focus our prayers on a different country within the 10/40 Window, lifting up the people, leaders, and those called to serve there.

Country of the Month
This month, we turn our focus to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a significant and strategic nation in the heart of the 10-40 Window. As the largest country in the Middle East and the 12th largest in the world, Saudi Arabia is home to over 32 million people, making it the fourth most populated Arab nation. Founded in 1932, the kingdom is governed by Sharia Law, and holds Mecca, the spiritual center of Islam, within its borders. Mecca is the direction of Islamic prayer and the destination for the Hajj, the fifth pillar of Islam. Conversion from Islam to Christianity (apostasy) is punishable by death, and Christian foreign workers are heavily surveilled, often facing imprisonment, abuse, or execution.
Despite these barriers, God is moving. Nearly half the population is under the age of 25, and 90% of homes have access to satellite TV. Saudi Arabia is also the largest user of YouTube per capita in the world, opening digital pathways for the Gospel to reach those who may never hear it in person.

Pray for secret believers to be strengthened in their faith, protected, and connected to others in underground communities.
Pray for legal reform and a shift in the culture regarding religious freedom and the punishment of Christians.
Pray for the younger generation to seek truth, encounter Jesus, and gain access to the Scriptures.
Pray for Christian media programs to be discovered through satellite TV and YouTube, reaching those hungry for hope.
Pray that all in the Kingdom would experience the love of God, the truth of His Word, and the power of His Spirit, many have testified to coming to Jesus through dreams and visions.
