Sunday Experience Serve Opportunities

This team is all about making people feel welcome from the moment they arrive. Whether you're greeting at the door, helping someone find a seat, serving coffee, or jumping in when someone needs medical help, you help create a great environment for worship. If you’re friendly, helpful, and love making church feel like home, this is the team for you!

Join a serve team

Do you love being the first friendly face people see? Join our Parking Team! These volunteers help create a safe and smooth experience by directing traffic and helping guests and those with special needs find the best spots. You’ll keep things moving with a smile and make everyone feel welcome the moment they arrive. If you’re upbeat, clear with direction, and love serving outdoors, this is the team for you!

Be a part of the Welcome Team! Greeters serve both outside and inside by offering a hello, opening doors, and helping guests feel at home. Whether it’s guiding a first-time visitor or simply sharing a smile, you’ll help set the tone for a great worship experience. If you’re friendly, observant, and love making people feel seen, this is the perfect spot for you!

Join our Sanctuary Team! You’ll help people find seats, share service info like translation or communion, and be a welcoming presence during worship. You’ll also stay alert to help with any safety or emergency needs. If you’re friendly, helpful, and calm under pressure, we’d love to have you on the team!

Love helping people get connected? Join our Welcome Desk Team! You’ll welcome new guests and share info about events, Life Groups, and ways to get involved. If you’re friendly, informed, and love pointing people in the right direction, this is the spot for you!

Join the Café Team! You’ll serve up coffee, smiles, and Sunday morning energy while helping with our monthly Café Connection Meal. It’s a fun way to meet people and support a great cause. If you’re friendly and love serving others, we’d love to have you!

Are you medically trained and love helping others? Join our Medical Response Team! You’ll respond to any medical needs during service and follow our set protocols to make sure everyone gets the care they need. If you’re calm, compassionate, and credentialed, we’d be grateful to have you on the team!

Help us keep Steele Creek safe and welcoming for everyone who walks through our doors. Our Sunday Security Team serves behind the scenes to protect our church family, watching over entrances, supporting kids’ ministry check-ins, and staying alert during services. If you’re dependable, observant, and have a heart to serve through safety and care, this is a powerful way to make a difference each week. Your presence brings peace of mind and helps create a distraction-free space for worship and connection.

Care Ministry

Serving in the Care Ministry is all about walking alongside others in times of need, offering compassion, prayer, and support. Whether it's through hospital visits, meals, prayer teams, or simply being present for someone going through a difficult season, this ministry reflects the heart of Christ through intentional love and care. From behind-the-scenes prayer warriors to those gifted in shepherding and one-on-one encouragement, every role helps remind people they are not alone. If you feel called to care for others and share God’s comfort in practical and spiritual ways, the Care Ministry is a beautiful place to serve.

Life groups are where our big church becomes small, where people find connection, grow in their faith, and do life together. As a leader, you’ll help create a welcoming environment for people to study God’s Word, pray, and build authentic relationships. Worship and Tech

Serving in the Worship Ministry is about more than music. Whether you're on stage as a vocalist or instrumentalist, behind the scenes with production and tech, or helping shape the creative vision, every role plays a vital part in creating an atmosphere where people can encounter Jesus. This team is for those who are passionate about worship, committed to spiritual growth, and eager to use their gifts to serve the church. If you love music, creativity, or simply want to help people connect with God through worship, there’s a place for you here.

Love to sing and worship with others? Come join the Choir! Whether you’re a seasoned vocalist or just love lifting your voice in praise, the choir is a great place to connect, grow, and help lead our church in worship.

Do you enjoy being behind the scenes and helping create meaningful worship experiences? Join our Production Team! Whether you’re interested in mixing sound, running lights, operating ProPresenter, managing cameras, calling the shots as a service director, or coordinating stage transitions, we’ve got a place for you. If you’re detail-oriented, love tech, or just want to serve in a creative and impactful way, come be part of the team that helps bring every Sunday to life.

Do you have an eye for capturing great moments? Join our Creative Content Team! We’re looking for volunteers who love taking photos or videos during services, events, or behind-the-scenes moments to help support our Creative Content Coordinator. Your work will be used for social media, storytelling, and other communication platforms to help share what God is doing in and through our church. Whether you’re a pro or just passionate about content creation, we’d love to have you on the team!

Whether you love holding babies, telling Bible stories, leading small groups, or just being a steady, encouraging presence, there’s a place for you on our team! You don’t have to be a Bible expert, just someone who’s dependable, caring, and ready to show up for our kids. Come be part of something meaningful. Let’s build the future, one child at a time!

Whether it’s greeting parents with a smile, helping new families check in, or making sure classrooms are prepped and ready—we need kind, dependable people like you! If you’ve got a heart for service and love helping things run smoothly behind the scenes, this is the perfect place to plug in.

Love teaching kids and bringing the Bible to life? SCFamily Large Group Leaders help create a fun, high-energy environment where kids can learn about Jesus in a way that sticks. You’ll guide the Bible story, lead worship with videos, pray with the kids, and make each Sunday feel exciting and meaningful. If you’re great with kids, love to lead, and know how to hold a room, this might be your sweet spot!

If you love building relationships and helping kids grow in their faith, this is the role for you! Small Group Leaders lead activities, guide discussions, help with memory verses and prayer, and make space for kids to talk about what they’re learning. You’ll show up ready to engage and invest in the same group each week. If you’re relational, love hands-on teaching, and care about discipling the next generation, you’ll fit right in!

Want to serve with kids but need a little flexibility? Our Small Group Subs jump in where needed, guiding activities, prayer, and helping classrooms run smoothly using the provided lesson plan. It’s a great way to get involved without a weekly commitment. If you’re dependable, adaptable, and open to exploring a future leadership role, we’d love to have you on deck!

Step into a key season of growth with our 5th graders! These leaders guide meaningful conversations, help kids apply their faith in real life, and prepare them for the transition into youth ministry. You’ll build community, answer big questions, and walk alongside students as they make their faith their own. If you love connecting with preteens and want to help them grow in confidence and faith, this role is for you!

Love snuggles, lullabies, and sharing Jesus with the littlest ones? This team rocks babies, sings songs, and creates a safe, loving space for our youngest kiddos. If you’re gentle, dependable, and have a heart for little ones (and don’t mind a diaper change or two), we’d love to have you!

If you love playful energy and helping little ones learn about Jesus, this team is for you! You’ll tell simple Bible stories, play games, and do fun crafts, all while creating a safe and loving space. If you’re energetic, caring, and don’t mind a diaper change here and there, we’d love to have you join!

Bring the Bible to life for our preschoolers through stories, games, crafts, and fun large group time! This team helps kids discover who Jesus is in a way that’s playful and meaningful. If you’re energetic, creative, and love helping little ones learn and laugh, we’d love to have you!

Want to make a real impact in the lives of high school students? Join our SCYouth Team! You’ll lead meaningful discussions, build real relationships, and walk with students as they grow in their faith. From small groups to Sunday mornings, events to everyday life, this role is all about showing up, staying consistent, and pointing students to Jesus. If you’re passionate about discipling teens and being part of their journey, this is your place!

If you have a heart for students but aren’t called to lead a small group, becoming a Deacon in SCYouth might be your next step. Deacons are servant-leaders who support the vision of the church by caring for students and encouraging our small group leaders. Through mentorship, prayer, and presence, you’ll offer spiritual guidance and walk with students and leaders through life’s ups and downs. If you’re spiritually mature, love to shepherd others, and want to invest in this generation, you belong here.

Help us share the love of Jesus in a way every child can experience. Our SCFamily Special Needs Team walks alongside kids who need a little extra support on Sundays, whether that’s one-on-one care, sensory-friendly environments, or simply being a steady, encouraging presence. You don’t need special training, just a big heart, patience, and a willingness to learn. If you’re passionate about creating a place where every child is seen, known, and loved, we’d love to have you on this team!

Love tech and want to make a difference? We’re looking for someone to help run sound, slides, and lights for our young adult ministry, Three Strands. It’s a low-pressure, behind-the-scenes way to help create a great space for worship, teaching, and connection.
